Wei Shi received his B.S. degree in Electrical and Information Engineering from Zhejiang University, China, in 2017. He received the Ph.D. degree from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, The University of Texas at Austin, Austin, TX, USA. He is a research scientist in Meta AI. His research interests include high performance CT-DSMs, machine learning based design automation under advanced technology nodes, open-sourced hardware,and reinforcement learning based large-scale optimization. Dr. Shi received a number of prizes for outstanding academic performance including the Chinese National Scholarship and UCLA Cross-disciplinary Scholar Fellowship from 2013-2017. He is a recipient of Texas Instruments Outstanding Student Designer Award in 2017, IEEE ISSCC Analog Devices Inc. Outstanding Student Designer Award in 2019, and the 2020-2021 IEEE SSCS Predoctoral Achievement Award.
